Hello ,

I just got a JVC idla 61 and im running PS3 over hdmi but picture on BD are grainy.Is this normal iset the tv on 1080p but still get poor picture quality , some scene are crisp but others are alot grainy.Is there something i should do in setting the tv right or is this normal.

Anybody try this set with 300 on bd.Please let me know how your pq is.

300 is intentionally grainy. It was added to the picture on purpose to replicate the comic book feel of the movie. There are also a lot of movies out there with differing amounts of film grain. I'm guessing when you play a PS3 game, or watch HD channels the picture is crystal clear.

More than likely, there is nothing to worry about, your TV is fine.

If you go to the BluRay software section, you'll see a lot of suggestions. I think that the Planet Earth series looks particularly good.
