I downloaded the update linked to on the RS1 owner thread (I beleive its 062), but my question is, how does one apply that to the PJ? Also, will 063 be available. Lastly, where can one read what the various updates add to the software so he can determine if it's worth the hassle and risk. Thanks in advance.

Can anyone briefly recap what the 062 fw update does?

From the service bulletin pdf:


1. The improvement of the sync detection error.
- Phenomenon:
When the 480p/576p YCbCr signal with the macro vision thru the component terminal is
inputted, the message "Frequency of input signal is out of range" is indicated.

2. The improvement of the color system distinction error.
- Phenomenon:
When PAL signal from some equipment (DVD player, video recorder, etc) for PAL area use
is inputted thru Video or S-VIDEO terminal, B/W (No color) picture is displayed
sometimes.

3. The correction of the chroma level in each input of VIDEO, S-VIDEO and Component
(YCbCr signal).
(We found the chroma level is slightly high in current seting.)

What about 063. I know it's out but no one wants to leak it it seems!

Do we know that an 063 firmware version is out?

AFAIK 062 is the latest we "know" about.

So, it seems that if you don't typically watch PAL DVDs and only use an HDMI cable, v.062 does nothing for you. That is certainly good to know.

Does anyone know of any firmware updates for the RS2 or HD100?
