I bought a 5080 for my bedroom and am currently breaking it in using D-Nice's settings and the break-in DVD. I would like to replace my 70 Inch Qualia in my family room with a Plasma yet my options are limited. Any idea (guess) when we will see Pioneer 70 Inch + Plasma?
I know there is a 71 Inch LG yet haven't heard enough about it... Also the 80 Inch+ Samsung and 103 Inch Panny, yet they are to expensive at this time. Come on Pioneer!

the LG is about $15K msrp, so how much would you pay if Pioneer had a 70"??

I can get the LG for a decent deal, so I assume the same for the Pioneer 70" would be do able.

The Panny 65PZ750U should be released shortly. I understand its 5" shorter than your recommendations, but is much more affordable than $11k. Also keep in mind if LG 71" at $15k would make the Pioneer the same at that price. Their is no demand for that screen size now. 42" and 50" will be the past in next 3 years, while 70"-80" will become a necessity for all households...

There is plenty of demand for screens over 65", 71" LG is a hot seller......Just because you do not need one or can not afford one does not mean others in this world are not interested.

Yeah, but if you logically break it down, the LG is no where near a great value. For 11" more screen real estate, I would rather have (3) 6010s to furnish my whole house rather (1) 71". I bet if we took a poll on this forum, most people could not afford a $15k plasma. Just a food for thought kind of thing...! lol...

I wanted a 65" or bigger, but Kuro's stop at 60 :( , so I'm waiting for the 150FD. I remember hearing something about Pioneer coming with a 75". If that ever happens I'm in. I don't care what it costs!

I was going to pay 21 million dollars so yes--it would make me feel so bad that I just wouldn't buy anything!
