I am new to all this and have a ques. about the Panny numbers. I am looking at the TH50PZ75U for $1700 and the TH50PX60U for $1600 and then there is all the other TH50.... what are differences. I currently have TH37PX60U and I am happy with that. I use DVD, HD Cable, and some times gaming. I want to up grade to either Blu-Ray or HD DVD. I will be viewing the TV from about 12ft. Thanks for your help.

I am new to all this and have a ques. about the Panny numbers. I am looking at the TH50PZ75U [I presume you meant to type TH-50PX75U] for $xxxx and the TH50PX60U for $xxx and then there is all the other TH50.... what are differences. I currently have TH37PX60U and I am happy with that. I use DVD, HD Cable, and some times gaming. I want to upgrade to either Blu-Ray or HD DVD. I will be viewing the TV from about 12ft. Thanks for your help. WesYou should just go to Panasonic's website and use their Compare feature to compare the various models you're interested in. Basically, the 768p PX75U is the equitable replacement for your 768p PX60U and has a newer-generation plasma panel and supposedly better processing and of course the nice black cabinet and pedestal stand. The PZ700U and PZ750U series are 1080p.

At 12 feet, you'll probably want a 50" at least and maybe even a 58" model. And since you're upgrading to a fancy DVD player, you're probably best served by a TH-58PZ700U :)

The add says TH50PZ75U. I guess it could be a misprint?

Their are more 600U laying around the 60U's. Their really isn't a difference in the picture. You get slightly better picture, but get the nice black bezel are really the main differences between the 75U and 60U.
