the connection was successful, but when i checked the internet connection status page, it shows that the "BSSID" is a little different from the mac address of my wireless router: it was 1 hex-decimal above the router one. is this normal? my router's mac address ends with "ED" but the BSSID on my PS3 shows "EE". also what is the difference between a BSSID and a mac address. thanks in advance.

the BSSID and MAC Address are 2 separete things as far as i know. and when you check your PS3 internet connection status page, it should show BOTH BSSID and MAC address.

i use my ps3 mac address for my router mac address filtering and i never had to use the BSSID for anything yet.

yes, you're correct, but i'm just curious how come the BSSID mac address is a little bit off from the router's? shouldn't the BSSID mac address be the same as the access point mac address in this case the router's mac address.
