I hope this doesnt violate any rules.
Sanyo PLV-Z1 with 100 hours on the bulb. Also comes with a brand new 80" Duet Wide screen. Ive trying to do research on this projector, but this guy has somebody else coming to look at it tonight, so I need an answer quick. Hes asking $400 for the projector, screen, power cords, manual, and remote. This will be my first projector, and will be used for my ps3 and watching movies only. I was going to buy the panasonic 720p projector for about $900 to start off with, but this seems like a pretty good deal to me.
One drawback I see is no hdmi, meaning I will have to use component for video. Its not that bad, but it just means I will have to pick up a set of component cables for my ps3. My main concerns are clarity of image in a light controlled room, and if this will be fine for gaming. I play resistance online, and will also be playing warhawk as well. Im new to projectors, so I dont know if only certain ones can handle video games. I know with lcd tv's you need a faster refresh rate to keep up with games. Opinions, thoughts? Is price ok, or should I talk him down? Will this handle ps3 games fine? Do they make component cables long enough for me ps3? The cord will need to be at least 20ft long. Will this projector display 720p fine? Sorry for the newb questions, but im in a rush. Thanks all!
