Deciding on a screen... Both the matte white and High Contrast grey interest me for different reasons... Can anyone comment on their experiences with either/both.

I'd assume the HS grey to be a great match for the HD1000U...

I have the Elite R92WH1 matte white screen with my Mitsubishi HD1000U and it looks great. I have it in my basement where I can control the light, and dont have any problems. I was also considering the R92H1 light gray screen but I read that some people didnt like the way whites turned out, and the colors didnt "pop" like the white screens. I have nothing to compare my white screen to but it does look awesome.

one028: Thanks for input and especially the screenshot. That image looks nice... What colors are your walls and ceiling? I have light brown walls (very dark beige), and a beige ceiling... That was the main reason I'd thought I'd need the grey. Also, Art's review below seemed favorable to the grey with this PJ... But... still torn and wondering if I need Matte White...

Are you in low or high lamp mode with that screenshot...? Looks like there are plenty of lumens...

Anyone else please chime in...

I have the Elite tension HC screen paired with the Mits HD1000 and I think the picture is a little dark. I wish I got the White screen instead. Well, hopefully, my next 1080p projector will be better.

here is my setup with the lights on...the screen works pretty good with some light in the room. i actually have a little lamp on all the time at night and dont notice any problems. also, i am in low lamp mode all the time.

i paid about $1200 for the screen, hd1000u projector, 25 ft hdmi cable, 25 ft component cable, and a universal ceiling mount for the projector. email me if you want the place where i found it on the web. otherwise check out projector people, they have pretty good prices..

I just replace my Dalite 92" with the Elite 106" ezframe fixed screen (white)for less than $400 delivered. Same thing in a dalite would have cost $1500+. Love it.
