i Have a sony we655 42" tv. Recently i have been getting a slight blue haze at the bottom and i figured it was a burned in image from my tivo. but now it appears the moment the tv starts, also there are blue dots or snow flakes that look like dead pixels. Within the past 3 months i replaced the bulb. Does anyone know what is wrong with my tel.?

help would be apreciated.

Sounds like a known problem with some of those displays. Sony has information on extended warranty coverage on their website here (click for link) (http://esupport.sony.com/perl/news-item.pl?news_id=206&mdl=KDF42WE655) with pictures that illustrate the problem. Good luck.

I have had mine for 2 1/2 yrs, and started getting the blue at the bottom of my screen, called Sony, they told me it was covered under there extended warrant, no cost to me... gave me a phone # , I called it , he order the part, and will be with in the week. now that's what I call service....

Update: the tech came today and replaced the light engine in my TV, he told me that the engine is new and updated to todays standard and if I had to pay for the unit it would cost $800 plus a service charge, but Sony want to keep it's customer happy so they paid it all. :)
he also told me that the other competitors don't have that kind of policy and work on them all, and the customer has to eat it...
This is the first Sony product I have bought, and from now on I will buy a Sony even if it cost me a little more.. :D
Except a PS3....I love my Xbox 360...
