Guys,
I have an XG 110 that tries to run for about 5 seconds but shuts down before lighting up and displays an FC code (meaning No +15V). I can see the RED LED turn on at first on the H-Def board, then it blinks and shuts down right away. So far I've swapped the following:
H-Def board, LVPS, HVPS, V-Drive and C-Drive.
All Cardcage boards except the Mother, Daughter and Video boards.
I didn't see anything in the troubleshooting section of the manual for FC other than the code itself.
What would you suggest next? I have a 1350 that has been the source of the board swapping except for the Drives which I had spares.

Jerry,
If the 1350 is a running chassis use it to swap boards into. The FC can be a real bugger to locate and can be just about anything including a cut wire or ribbon cable. Check close where the looms can scratch the case when the deflection tray is opened. Is the 110 a 1100 or 1101?
I would verify the remaining video out, daughter and neck boards as well as the rear ir board. Look up under the motherboards on the card cage looking for a fused screw.
When you cant find a bad board it gets down to the motherboards and interconnects as long as your sure the boards in the projector are the right ones for the version your working on.
If no other boards were just replaced before the error then what was done last before the FC error showed up? This will usually point to what is causing it.
Keep a signal running to the projector. Will send a PM. Doug

Doug, Most of the boards in the projector are 2R4 series but I noticed that I have a mix of 2R4 and 3A5's for the x-Drive boards. Are the 3A5's not compatible in a chassis with 2R4's? I may have swapped out a 2R4 from the XG 1100 into the 1350 months ago. Is that likely to be my problem?

Jerry,
The 1100 and 1350 use on the most part the same boards. There are a couple of 3 prefix numbers that are used in the non LC chassis.
Does the 1350 work with no issues? Doug

Whoowhoo! Problem solved! It turned out that the problem was with the wrong series 3A5 V-Drive or C-Drive in the XG 1100. As it turns out, my 1350 works with either series 2R4 or 3A5 but has always been a little strange as it only runs with the RPS-6119A power supply instead of the 6119U used by the XG 1100. As far as I know the 6119A is used on the LC units but mine is an AC.
Doug, thanks for the other tips. You had mentioned in you PM to check the series numbers.
