I'm looking for warranty options to do cross border shopping in the Niagara/Buffalo area. Does anyone know of reputable stores in this area that offer warranties that would be accepted by Sony in Canada?

If not, are there any good third party warranty options available?

I've been looking myself for over 2 years. All manufacturers price fix (illegal by the way) by means of denying warranty on purchases outside of Canada. third party warranties AFAIK will not cover purchases outside of Canada.

On larger sets, the savings are 50%+. If this is the case with your purchase, you could buy a set in the US, take your chances all is fine, and should anything go awry, buy another set with the savings.

There is no point in filing a complaint about price fixing with the Fed's, they admit the policies are in violation of at least 3 laws regarding trade, but are unwilling to enforce them, Been there, done that.
