I’m trying to upgrade from my current set up and it’s between the Mitsubishi's WD-52631 DLP 52” and the Samsung HP-T4234 plasma 42”. I like the size of Mitsubishi and I’m going to be using them mostly for movies and videogames. I like the picture on both sets and my viewing distance will be about 7-8 feet. The Mitsubishi Is 1080p where the Samsung is 720p. How big of an improvement in picture quality, if any, will I get if I get the Mitsubishi. Or are they going to be pretty much the same, except I will only have a bigger picture with the Mitsubishi.
