OK so im buying the PS3 next week and will get a replacement plan..just in case, have a kid, it bricks etc. Anyhow Best Buy has a 2 yr plan for 99.99 but Target has a 3yr plan for 29.99. Why the huge difference?
thanks

Don't know the difference in the discrepancy, but BB obviously makes their profits on Extended Warranties.
If I were you and a member, I would go the Costco route. Lifetime guarantee on their consoles, no extra charge.

Maybe a difference in how quickly they get a console back to you ? I'd actually consider buying a replacement plan if I knew Target sold them for that price.

yea target has them for 29.99. The only difference is they try and have it reparied first then replace. She said turnaround is usually 2 weeks
I don't normally buy extended warranties but BB told me that they would replace on the spot with a new unit off the shelf. I just didn't want any down time.

Well I called Costco and they said they have "pretty much have a life time gurantee ion anything, even the PS3 and 360". My only issue is they only have bundles (online anyhow) and I dont want a bundle

Yeah thats the only thing with Costco, you have to buy the bundle. But considering what you would pay seperately for it, its not a bad deal. Motorstorm is one of the top games for the PS3 if that makes you feel any better.

And if you get games in the bundle that you don't want, and they're sealed you could always take it to bestbuy, return it for store credit, and get a game you'd rather play instead.
