ok silly question, if I'm watching a bluray on my ps3 with latest firmware,
how do I make sure my HD80 is in 1080p/24, will it say on the display?

and if it doesn't how do I get it to? If anyone can shed some light, and or settings on both... One small note: despite that fact that my project arrived less than two weeks ago, it does not remember iris settings. Will I have an issue with 1080p/24?

any help appreciated...

Cheers...

All set folks, went home and I was able to set the playstation to play at 24fps and low and behold 300 at 24fps...

I guess I was excited and just wanted to hear back from someone on this as I was at the office and could not test this...

:o) cheers.

I see you were able to solve the issue but for others who read this, set the sony bd settings -bd 1080p 24 output HDMI to ON (default is automatic and does not set at 24fps). Did you buy 300 as I still have not recaived 300 from my online rental yet.

I'd just buy it at Amazon (300, POTC-1, POTC-2) for $40 or so (3 for 2 BD deal)--just add to cart and instant discount of the 3rd BD disc will apply.

right now i boycott amazon due to how they handled my only return. after many emails and phone calls they still charged me, then it took more phone calls to fix as they still did not refund the full amount.

Thanks for posting the details for the PS3 I should have...
I walked in and purchased 300 from Best Buy or Future Shop do not recall which one.
