IS there anyway to operate the 6416 off the cable. I would like to use the PVR feature on regular (analog) TV Cable that is not digital. The 6416 will apparently not work unless connected to Digital Cable.

I have another unit connected to the cable service and would like to use this extra 6416 as a PVR for direct input/ analog TV.

The DCT6416 uses the DVR software provided by your cable company. Most of the features will not function unless the digital cable company has flagged your account as authorized to use that DVR.
