I'm getting an Epson 400 and am looking for suggestions on a decent universal ceiling mount. I like the Chief RPU...kind of pricey but looks well built. What do you recommend? Thanks

I just ordered the Epson 400 as well. In the Epson 400 thread, I found that other recommended the NPL mount from mountdirect.com. I've ordered it, but I have not received either the PJ or the mount, so I cannot comment firsthand.

I purchased the Mountdirect NPL mount for my 2 1/2 year old Optoma a few months ago. The main selling points for me were the price and that any of the projectors (the 400 being one of them) that I was considering upgrading to were listed in their compability list.

I must say that I wasn't to impressed by the quality of the machining- how the plates fit together and the threading of the screw holes. Once I fought with it for a few hours and got it up- it is very strong and solid. I would suggest that if you are not at all mechanically inclined and willing to fight with something a little- look elsewhere.

No offense to Mountdirect- I definitely feel that I got my money's worth.
