^ Had to buy 3 HD movies or a player from Amazon last year. I don't have it though, and it sucks.

Amazon is not liking this code. I typed it in all caps, no go, and then retyped with .. and no go.

It just worked for me. It is "tvguide5" (no quotes). The first time I tried, I forgot the "5" at the end.

I was debating if I was going to pick this up, but for $59 I couldn't help myself. (It is $59.45 if you have the 10% off and use the tvguide5 code)

EDIT: Just tried it again with uppercase TVGUIDE5 and it worked...

Thanks! I used lower case and it finally worked. I saved $10.50 off this. Thanks to the OP.

You guys are going to hate me but I ordered the regular DVD... I just couldnt justify a $40 premium for an HD copy of a series I have only seen one episode of. I don't feel most tv series aren't as "re-watchable" Maybe I will regret it but considering I got Heroes and Friday Night Lights for almost $20 less then just the Heroes HD-DVD I couldn't justify.

Yeah but I want to get caught up with the series before the start of season 2 in case ( I am hoping ) I like it... Netflix will be IMPOSSIBLE to do that as I am sure it will be tough to get and right now I don't belong to any other retail rental place.

I own 25 HD-DVDs so I definitely love the format but I believe most films are highly re-watchable, I just couldn't justify that much of a premium for a TV series even some of my favorites.

You can "catch up" for free at NBC.com. All of the episodes are available.

If you're not sure you're going to like or rewatch the show, Netflix and/or NBC.com seems like the better option than spending $35 for a standard def set. If you hate the show, you just wasted $35. If you love the show, you'll be absolutely kicking yourself that you didn't spend the extra thirty bucks to get the full-blown HD set.

But, it's your money and your call. :)

Ha ha well its a fair argument but I have caught up on episodes from ABC.com for LOST and it was horrendous quality though... most likely I will be kicking myself but by that time I will be caught up in season 2
