Duct tape is only going to be a temporary patch. It won't stretch or hold under pressure or in the heat. Sunrisepilot 09-28-07, 02:26 PM I do rooftop balloon advertising, and repair rips and small punctures in the balloons all the time. Use a vinyl patch kit for a pool (patch from the inside so the air preasure is forcing the patch into the fabric). Overlap the hole by 2 inches all around. DO NOT do this on a cold day as the "glue" needs to cure overnight. I apply the adheasive to both the patch and the area around the hole and let it dry until tacky before placing the patch.
