Has anybody noticed that the choice of high definition first run PPV movies has increased recently?

I currently have access to 31 first run movies in high definition through my cableco HD DVR. And the selection is updated regularly. From the movie "300" to anything else that has been released recently.

Advantage yes or advantage no for the DVR decision??? (meaning cableco, satellite. or Tivo).

I have decided on the cableco option because of the HD PPV option. I'm letting the HD and BD war settle before I make a decision on hardware.

But what are others doing?

Are you asking about VOD (video on demand)? VOD is different from PPV (pay per view).

Yes I stand corrected thanks. VOD but the kind with a fee. The 24hr access variety. I've got 31 first run high definition movies available. I think it is a great feature.

I counted 36 HD movies on demand available to me currently. I have watched 2 so far.

By the way, I mainly use a DVR and sometimes D-VHS, but I don't watch BD or HD-DVD.
