I just bought a HD DVD player already have a Blu Ray player both have HDMI outputs.My TV has only 2 HDMI inputs so I plan on using the components out of the 622 will it degrade the HD picture much.The TV is a Panasonic TH-50PX600U
Will use this until the wife gets over the 2 HD players and lets me get a new receiver.

i have my 622 connected to my onkyo 605 through components and my onkyo DOWNconverts to 720 and i am very pleased my ps3 is using hdmi so as not to downconvert but i didnt want to spend the extra dough on another hdmi if i didnt have and i dont think i have to after viewing. if your not happy still i do recomend the 605,hd dvd and blu ray into reciever and 622 direct to tv, fiber optic to reciever for sound
