Trying to connect computer to this pj. I'm running vista but my video card is not the greatest. It recognizes the pj as a Non PnP monitor but seems to only allow me to extend the desktop to it rather than actually switch monitors like I was able to do in XP. I set the resolution to 1920x1080 but the pj reads SXGA60 as the signal mode. Is this right?
Anyway, I tried to use PowerDVD to play some .avi files and couldn't get the aspect ratio correct. I had to use 4:3 mode on the pj but it cut off a lot of image. Any help?

They do say this projector has a picky VGA input.
It does seem I have seen some answers on this in the main owners thread. That is one whopper thread though I admit to find an answer like this. I have been warned my Xbox360 probably will not work with it. :(
One post I did find on it: Cut and paste:
"Using Powerstrip, I finally got the VGA connection to map, pixel for pixel. These are my settings (using the copy button from the Advanced Timing screen of Powerstrip):
PowerStrip timing parameters:
1920x1080=1920,56,56,168,1080,2,6,37,148500,2054
Generic timing details for 1920x1080:
HFP=56 HSW=56 HBP=168 kHz=68 VFP=2 VSW=6 VBP=37 Hz=60
VESA detailed timing:
PClk=148.50 H.Active=1920 H.Blank=280 H.Offset=40 HSW=56 V.Active=1080 V.Blank=45 V.Offset=2 VSW=6
Linux modeline parameters:
"1920x1080" 148.500 1920 1976 2032 2200 1080 1082 1088 1125 -hsync -vsync"

Thanks for the reply. I had never used Powerstrip before but finally figured out how to copy/paste these settings. Unfortunately, the screen went blank and the input lights started flashing. No amount of messing with 1080p seemed to work. I did manage to get 720p working however and corrected the geometry with Powerstrip. Signal Mode now reads Wide720. I guess I'll leave it there for now.

Have you tried it yet with XBOX 360?
