My parents have one of those VS14551C and was wondering if anyone can recall the size of this TV. I want to surprise them with a larger one and don't have the advantage of just going over and measure it. Cant find it in google anywhere. This Rear Projection TV is around 12 yrs old.

It has a problem where it will loose the picture, he bangs on the side and it comes back. I have been down a couple of times and removed many boards where it seemed to be coming from and resoldered everything. It was ok for a bit but the problem resurfaced. I thought I would mention this in the off chance this was a chronic common problem for this model. As you can see its got me so frustrated, I'm seriously thinking of just buying them a new one to make the problem go away, but I'm sure I will end up still fixing it as it is ok except for that one major problem lol.

Apparently it's got you so frustrated you posted in the *front* projection forum instead of the *rear* projection forum. You can tell the difference because in the rear projection forum people watch TV, and in the front projection forum people watch two scenes from "The Fifth Element" and take photographs of resolution test patterns.

...but since I'm a helpful guy, I did a google search on the model number you presented us, and found.... well, all I found was your post. Maybe the guys in the RPTV forum can help once they've realized that they're all just watching overgrown microfilm viewers and head back to their computers to check the forums.

(For some reason I'm feeling snarky right now. Apologies in advance.)

LOL, thanks , I got a chuckle from your reply. If a mod could delete this thread, I'd appreciate it. Yeh, I did a search and came up with nothing. Its probably a 51 inch as I think I recall the model numbers had the size in it.

Appologies to making all u front projector people having to read this twice.
