I've had a PS3 since 12/06 and always planned to go neutral. The recent Amazon deal seemed like the perfect time.

XA2
V for Vendetta
Shaun of the Dead
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
5 Free from Toshiba

$544 out the door with 2 day shipping.

Must resist the urge to buy HD DVDs in the 2 for 1 sale............

Welcome to HD-DVD!

I'm anxiously awaiting Heroes season 1, Battlestar Galactica Season 1, and Star Trek Season 1. Plus a bunch of others. Heroes should be shipped by now.... *logs into to amazon to check*

Amazon's deal was the culprit in making me go format neutral too.

My best friend and BD only guy (with PS3), just picked up and A2 this week due to the Paramount announcement. He couldnt live with the thought of not have Top Gun in HD.

Long live HDDVD!

Now if I could just figure out a way to afford and BD player, we'd both be set.

I would not be able to live with the thought of not being able to own The Transformers in HD.

If I remember correctly, "Transformers in HD" falls between "Safety" and "Love/Belonging" on Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

The tide is turning. When all these BD diehards cave in and buy HD DVD, they will see firsthand the HD DVD delivers more for less. This is not going according to Sony's plan :D
Special thanks to amazon!

Add one more to the red side. This was the best time, in my opinion to jump in. At first I bought the xbox add on and I returned it today because for $20 more I got the a2 w/8 free movies from Amazon. I also used the 3 for 2 sale for 12 HD DVD movies. I am also thinking of buying more. ;)

Same here. Top Gun is probably my most anticipated movie and not getting it on blu-ray sucked. Glad I'm format neutral now.

Welcome and Congrats on your Toshy player.

I'm just waiting for the Holiday season to grab me a BD player and then I will also be neutral. HD DVD though is always my first love. :D

I just hope that when the format war is finaly over that we don't end up fighting an "I Told You So" war for the next year or two.

You are going to be blown away by what the HD-XA2 can do with DVDs. A bunch of us paid almost twice what you paid for that thing when it first came out less than a year ago.

For those that are reading this that are also on the fence the A2 is $210 with 3 free $40MSRP titles IMMEDIATELY (normally $27.95 at Amazon) AND the 5 free MIR. Its a great time to be on the red train!!
