Universal has opened up a new High def web page. I've never seen it so I'm assuming its new. I haven't played around in it yet but it looks like you can connect your player for online interactivity and all that good stuff. Check it out.

Thanks for the link. It's still new, a lot of things are "coming soon". They need to work on it but it's good they started a web page.

Agree. I was fooling around on there and everything is coming soon and as far as connecting your player it just shows you how to do it. But hey its a good start.

They also sent out an HD DVD newsletter. If you signed up for e-mails, you should have received it. They also advertised the generation 3 HD DVD players in the newsletter and had a link for the details, but they don't have the details up on their web site yet.

Wow, there are lots of great stuff on it. I like how they feature HD DVD's interactivity and guide you on how to connect your player.
I just saved the website.
Yup, they're going neutral any day now...

On the top right it says "download trailers and exclusive content to your hd dvd player."
Interesting...

I saw something similar in the newest HD DVD promo:

Interesting...The trailers I downloaded using Heroes today were not HD but it is cool anyway. I would imagine that sizes would be a bit larger once networked storage is operational (I assume it's still in the works).
On the Universal High-Def website, the Knocked Up screen indicates "Heroes Artwork Update" seems like they will be able to keep titles updated with new content.
I take Universal's commitment of online content (even if it's sharing clips and the video download center) from here on out to be a pretty good sign that they actually can't go neutral. Blu-ray simply isn't capable of offering what Universal is going to have on titles from here on out (new releases). Although, I wouldn't be surprised to find the download center (what Digital Man5 references above; see Heroes Disc 2) and "Best Buddies" (their clip sending system) to become standard just as their on screen timeline bar and the screensaver have become standard. Thankfully, the screen saver no longer has audio...:)

Whoa, I click on the link to this thread, then I click the link to universal page, and am browsing back and forth, and then a Heroes commercial starts playing on tv in the back ground! A weird little moment of marketing synchronicity. lol
Cool site!
Hey, do you remember earlier this year when Universal shut down the HD-segment on their website and it was taken as a sign that they were going neutral? Ahh, the fun we had!
