I have a few shows that maybe interesting to see in HD.
Discovery Channel

Myth Busters
Dirt Jobs

History Channel

Human Weapon
Modern Marvels

TLC

American Chopper
What Not to Wear

Now, I know everyone's preference is different and this doesn't reflect shows that everyone watches. Do to limited number of polling options and higher number of shows, I try to make this as simple as possible based on which shows seem more popular to me. Also, keep in mind if you typically watch these shows in SD or not. Not everyone watch these shows in HD via cable or satellite.

for me this is unusual. i don't think i've bought much in the way of Discovery Channel-type shows ever. though i did get the BBC version of planet earth.
above all though, i receive the majority of these in HD broadcast from the dish. so i'm not all that inclined to purchase them for that reason.

I'd buy none. However, I would buy Entourage, The Office, and Lost if they ever found a way to HD-DVD.

I would love to watch many of those in HD but I wouldn't buy any of them.

I would buy Entourage (HBO), Band of Brothers (HBO), Dogfights (History), and others I can't think of right now.

Agreed. I'm surprised Universal isn't bringing The Office to HD DVD. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I was hoping to see more choices, since there's lots of shows on cable I would buy (The Shield, Rescue Me, The 4400, possibly Monk, some of the stuff on sci-fi, etc). I wouldn't buy any of the choices listed though, but that's me.

See don't people know that TV is bad for everyone and makes them do bad things. I mean look at Michael Vick. ;)

Entourage, The Wire, Deadwood, Carnivale (Yes, I'm weird!), Big Love, The L-Word (the first season only), Brotherhood, Blue Planet, Nat Geo Predator's at War, Band of Brothers, Californication (already hooked), Battlestar Galactica (duh), Nip/Tuck (the first two seasons only), The Shield and, of course, Weeds.

From broadcast TV, I would purchase:
Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, Lost, Desperate Housewives, and Girlfriends

FTR, I actually have Dish Network HD, and I've seen the Discovery shows you listed as choices. Half of them aren't even HD. They're just zoomed HD. After so many people ragged on A&E and National Geographic for "black bars", TNT is leading with "stretch-o-vision" and Discovery, TLC, Animal Planet and Science are following with "zoom-o-vizion". Ick!

None of the above for me.

There's a few select Modern Marvels that I might consider buying... but the price would have to be great and I'd prefer an ala carte system (like Amazon Customflix) where I could just order the 3 or 4 I want.

None of the above.
I'd be more interested in Stargate SG-1 (which would be Blu-ray instead of HD DVD) and BSG.

I wouldn't buy any of them, but I feel Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch" would tempt me if it were in the $5.00 movie bin at Wal-mart.

Deadwood. The poll list was a weird listing, to say the least.

Out of those, maybe Mythbusters, since I watch reruns of the show all the time anyways. And it would be the only way to get the show in HD which might make it worth a purchase.

HD NET: Bikini Destinations.......great scenery, and great scenery. Repeat viewing, no question. I'd buy that.

I don't really believe i need to see any of these in hd so to say.

I much rather at this point in time when disc costs are still relatively high for us buyers to get things like smallville , heroes and battlestar that really take advantage of hd

Oh come on, how did Rome, Carnivale and Deadwood not take spots 1, 2 and 3 on that list?

best 3 series of the last 5 years hands down.
