I'm not even sure if this the proper sub section of the forums... pretty confusing to me.
I'm looking for a USB or PC Card device that will take component or composite inputs so I can save contents from certain video games as video on my laptop. Anything out there? Any options, I don't really need component input, it would just be much preferred. I assume it'll end up being a TV Card or such that can be used as a capturing device as well.

I think you want a video capture card. They do come in USB versions as well as cards that plug into your PC. Most come with basic software to do editing. They are not really DVRs, so this is probably not the correct forum to post your question under.

Which forums ection is the proper one then? It would help, because all these subdivisions make no sense to me.
