How hard is it to replace the bulb on a Marantz projector like the VP-11S1? Are there instructions posted on this forum? How difficult and time consuming is it?

10mins will do . Just follow the instructions on the manual . I just changed my s4 bulb recently and believe 11S1 should be the same .

Peter,

You should be able to do this without any trouble Just make sure not to get any fingerprints on the lens of the lamp and to hold it by the plastic outer shell. Also, remember to reset the timer on your projector once you install the new lamp.

The lamp you need to order is the LU-12VPS3

Sorry for bumping an old thread.

I just got purchased a globe from AVS for my Vp-15S1. Took my projector down and took it to a Marantz service center here. I asked did they reset the lamp timer and they said yes.

However I get it back and it still showing 1999 hours. I went into the menu and choose reset lamp timer, and a yes and no came up. Select yes and the dam thing still won't reset.

Any ideas as I really don't want to take it back down and lug it back to the service agent.

The Marantz timer is a counter-down timer. It shows the hours remaining not the hours used. It starts at 2000hrs and counts to 0hrs. So after the timer is reset, 1999 hours is correct.

I have the VP-15S1 also. How many hours did you get from the lamp and did it just fail or was it dim?
