I've used them quite a bit - great prices - wonderful selection - professional handling of your order. Just click the link above - Ram Cables + Gear. m_vanmeter 08-31-07, 08:47 AM you may not notice any real difference by changing from component to HDMI. Another forum sponser www.monoprice.com has excellent cables for very reasonable prices. I have purchased many cables from them for home and work place and all have worked exceedingly well. mjones73 08-31-07, 09:53 AM What's this the 3rd or 4th time this week alone this question has come up? We need to make this a sticky... :) Rick_R 08-31-07, 11:59 AM I recently changed my connection from component to HDMI on my Dish 211. The 211 came with a HDMI cable so the change was free. I did it because I wanted the stereo audio outs that were being used with the component to be used with the composite outputs so I could record to a VCR via composite. The HDMI has audio as part of the connection. The picture has no difference. However I have noticed that the HDMI takes maybe 5 to 10 seconds to do its handshaking and come on . Whereas the component took zero seconds to show a picture when I turned the TV and STB on. Rick R |
