If this is the wrong thread, I apologize.

I have cablecard in one of my HDTV's, and the motorola 6412 on another. Tomorrow, I am changing my service and will now be able to receive the sports tier and cinemax for no extra charge. Usually when i add new channels, I call them and they "hit" my box with a signal and it will decrypt the channels on the cable box and I see them instantly. With my cablecard now, I get every channel I get upstairs on the cablebox. When new HD channels, or other channels are added, all I do is rescan for channels and they show up.
Right now on my cablecard, Cinemax HD, and NFL network HD show up, but it says weak signal or channel scrambled.
My question is, once these channels are unlocked for me and I can receive them on my cablebox, will the cablecard decrypt them downstairs automatically as well, or will I need to call comcast and tell them the IP/hardware address of the cablecard so they can add them to my cablecard? Thanks for any input.

They should have to add them to your cable card just like they do the box. Need to tell each device you have what it can and can't do.

I was afraid of that, as I am also afraid that they will give me the "we can't do anything with cablecard because it's not two way."

Maybe I will just cross my fingers and hope it works automatically.
