The second season of Weeds has 7.1 audio (not that it's going to be as bombastic or aggressive as an action flick or anything), and it was so addictive that I watched the entire season in one sitting. (I would recommend giving the first season a look to get a feel for the series beforehand, tho'.) 7.1 is not terribly common, and I'm not sure if anyone's using it other than Lionsgate.

May be I will go for the 5th element then, action is my kind. Thanks.

Fifth Element or Pirates of the Carribean DMC...Casino Royal is pretty good. Crank as well..

Seconded. Nice PQ, to boot :)Thirded. Adrenaline-fueled action/comedy romp to cap, and extras that actually make the movie better (as opposed to "stealing some of the magic"); it really helped depict how much love went into making this movie. I was surprised how much I liked this disc.

One minor correction, though… it's 6.1 LPCM, but don't let that stop anyone.

Even on my old sound system with Aiwa home theater in a box speakers, THE DESCENT was incredible. I can't wait to watch it again with my new set up. If you like horror movies, you should love it - it's the whole package.

But the most important, the PQ is TIER 0, fantastic transfer with bitrates over 40mbps

right now I have my PS3 hooked up through optical to my 7 year old 5.1 kenwood vsr-410 and I rarely hear any sounds from the rear speakers . I would like to take advantge of the pcm audio available on many blu-rays. does anyone here know what the least expensive hdmi 7.1 receiver is and where can it be found instore in the metro Detoit area or online available to canada, thanks
