The reason I ask is because I just saw Rob Zombie's Halloween today and I loved it and cannot wait to get this on Blu Ray, if possible!

That plus Transformers now becomes burdensome :( I thought Grindhouse was Weinstein though? And I thought I read that would be blu ray too. Bombthroat 08-31-07, 05:23 PM Grindhouse is rumored to be Weinstein's first entry into Blu-ray but nothing has been formally announced yet. Take that how you will. jlangner 08-31-07, 07:43 PM I am hoping for 1408 as well. sunstar715 08-31-07, 08:29 PM i thought i seen a weinstein logo during tmnt, and that is on blu ray, i really hope we get a rz halloween br release, i loved the movie, my favorite out of all the halloweens. anavrin0901 08-31-07, 09:01 PM i thought i seen a weinstein logo during tmnt, and that is on blu ray, i really hope we get a rz halloween br release, i loved the movie, my favorite out of all the halloweens. Now that I think about you are absolutely right...there was Weinstein logo on TMT. Are you talking new or old Halloween? I will buy them both. wormraper 08-31-07, 09:25 PM i thought i seen a weinstein logo during tmnt, and that is on blu ray, i really hope we get a rz halloween br release, i loved the movie, my favorite out of all the halloweens. Weinstein and warner co-did TMNT, but Warner retained distribution rights thus it being dual format. Calam 08-31-07, 10:25 PM i thought i seen a weinstein logo during tmnt. According to the company information on IMDB, Weinstein had the non-US theatrical distribution rights while Warner had domestic rights. The DVD distribution rights are held by Warner Home Video, hence the BD/HD DVD release. sunstar715 08-31-07, 10:38 PM Now that I think about you are absolutely right...there was Weinstein logo on TMT. Are you talking new or old Halloween? I will buy them both. new halloween, i loved the original, but i think i actually like this one better Urza 08-31-07, 10:40 PM My guess is they go neutral. FYI As a guy who leans to HDDVD, They are no great catch. They are the Lionsgate of HDDVD, actually, worse! zombi3 08-31-07, 10:54 PM Grindhouse is rumored to be Weinstein's first entry into Blu-ray but nothing has been formally announced yet. Take that how you will. I *think* that rumor came about before the Paramount/Dreamworks announcement. Not sure sure if that will have any bearing on whether Weinstein goes neutral, switches sides, or remains HD DVD exclusive. GizmoDVD 08-31-07, 11:35 PM I *think* that rumor came about before the Paramount/Dreamworks announcement. Not sure sure if that will have any bearing on whether Weinstein goes neutral, switches sides, or remains HD DVD exclusive. Correct. It was during Comic Con when the reps were talking about Grindhouse being on Blu-ray. |
