Is this possible that the remote would show me the volume level that I've chosen - even if it was a faux volume display that wet up/down when i send commands to "guess" what the level might be - i'd still be interested.

I wish the mx3000 could do that..

There are ways to do this. Are you controlling the volume level on an AV Receiver? If so does that AVR have RS232 control capability with pre-set volume levels? If it does than you can use the MX3000 with the MSC400 to control thos specific levels and just create pages with a volume meter to give you the effect your looking for. The creation of the pages and those pages interacting with the rest of your programming may get pretty hairy but the beauty of this remote is that ANYTHING is possible.
