So my parents have some three JBl speakers that are hooked up in to a nice Pioneer Elite receiver and I was think about getting my Dad a pair of Mirage to finish of the 5.1 system, So can I mix and match brand of speakers and have every thing so the same or not? thanks

Yes you can, however it is recommended to have all speakers from one brand and series to keep a consistent sound stage.
