View Full Version : Harry Potter comes to Blu-ray in Germany on the 16th November
stefanpaulmayer 09-01-07, 06:26 AM hi there,
WB has the details for both HD DVD and blu-ray releases of Harry Potter 1-4 up on their German press site. the BDs will contain 11 languages, so it seems that they will do one BD for all of Europe and Japan. neither HD DVD nor BD are listed with trueHD, only DD+ and normal DD - but this could be wrong, as WB sometimes has faulty technical details on their press site.
regards
lgans316 09-01-07, 07:09 AM Warner has been notorious when it comes to listing of tech specs.
Can allready be preordered at amazon :

Only if WB make it region free, but that's very unlikely.

I think all WB titles are region free.
It's going to get released here, though, probably right around the same time...so I don't see much advantage to importing a copy for more money.

warner never used region code on one single blu-ray disc - so yes, they will be region free
also, as I stated, they have Japanese language on them and Japan would be a BD region A country, whereas Europe is region B

Johnsteph10 09-02-07, 09:09 AM The 4th movie (originally US version but released over in the UK) has a True HD track - I would be surprised if they all do not.

Agreed. I suppose this gives HP fans a backup plan if the U.S. versions don't happen this year though.
I wonder if they'll include interactive features in anticipation of profile 1.1.
