This movie got a great writeup in the HighDef Digest, and some great reviews.

I didn't find it particulary poignant -- the acting seemed lame for the most part, and the comedy fell flat in most places. What is particularly annoying is the video -- more than a few scenes appeared soft and out of focus. This could have been a deliberate decision to emphasize the fantasy, but I never got the true pop that you get from other standout BDs.

To each his own. I was pleasantly suprised by this flick (much as I was with Stranger Than Fiction and the like). I'm sure you could sell it on e-bay if you haven't room on the shelf for it.

Send it to me. I think it's a great movie.

The first time I watched Big Fish, I turned it off part way through. I gave it another shot months later and for whatever reason LOVED IT. Maybe I was in a bad mood the first go around or something, but I think this is a fantastic movie. I have the BR sitting down stairs, but have not watched that version yet.

Same thing for me. I got a little tired of it halfway through, but then I got hooked and really loved it at the end. I thought the PQ was excellent in the fantasy scenes. It looked like Burton deliberately turned up the color contrast in those scenes, while turning down contrast in the reality scenes. My BD really looked nice in the fantasy scenes.

I love the movie, probably one of my favourite Burton flicks. When I first saw it theatrically, I didn't expect it to have such a moving ending, but I was crying like a baby at the end, which doesn't happen to me often - if ever.

I personally feel this film is a masterpiece. The bathtub scene with Albert Finney and Jessica Lange is one of the most memorable and moving moments ever committed to film. I love this motion picture. It is one of my favorite Tim Burton films.

Definitely one of my top 10. The transfer is great as well IMO. I'll gladly take a second copy if you don't want it. ;)

I thought it was a great story. The father's adventurous past and a not-so-believing son. Though predictable, I liked the ending too.

Big Fish is one of the best movies of all time.

I like the movie and the disc but that said, the disc does not live up to the HDDigest review IMO.

To this date of 100 blu-ray and HD DVDs that I've purchased, Big Fish is the only one that I've sold.

I didn't think it was bad, nor did I think the PQ was horrible. Just a movie I'd never want to watch again. Depressing, weird...meh.
