It's an interesting find but not really useful since you need motion control to do certain actions in the game. Besides that you'd be taking out one of the coolest features of the game. Without the Sixaxis stuff the game would be pretty mediocre.

According to reviews the game would actually be a decent amount of fun (in the 7ish range) without motion control. I wonder why they didn't let you use the sticks as well.

There's a place to enter cheat codes in the options menu. Maybe a code could unlock standard stick controls.

Is there a code for the tearing and framerate issues?

Yeah..Imagine not being able to do a quick 180 in this game!

Framerate's fine but I could do without the tearing, that always bugs me. In the heat of battle though it's not distracting.

Taking away motion control kind of defeats the whole purpose of the game in my opinion.

I thought they said the game was mediocre even with Sixaxis ;)

^ Agree here..it just takes time to learn the controls, even the manual states this. I am having fun with it..and that is what gaming it is all about.

are those with framerate issues playing @ 1080i or 1080p?

One "good" thing about the ps3 is that the screen resolution does affect the rendering resolution. So you should get better performance if you play @ 720p.

I dont have the game, just suggesting something to try.

Is there a code for a wack-a-troll mini game?

LOL!:p

People are so badly wanting a good exclusive PS3 game. I have only played 2 games on my PS3 and both were just OK IMO at best. Thank God for the BR playback which is fantastic!:) It is nice to have both consoles (360/PS3) as I love the BR of the PS3 and the games on the 360.

All the fun I've been having with Lair, Warhawk, Motorstorm, and Resistance is all in my head. I cry into my Sixaxis every night, thinking about the sorry state of PS3 gaming. Thank goodness we have real gamers with 360s to set us straight.

by consensus, you mean fat l33t FPS reviewers behind major print publications, right?

Anyways, said it in the LAIR topic, but the game doesn't deserve such a low score, due to idiots who can't or are unwilling to learn the motion controls. They can go back to their FPS, but as a arcady flight game, LAIR is pretty decent! If they can update and fine tune the targeting system via download, I might even rate it a 1/2 point higer then my review of 8.2ish

Anyways, back on topic. Looks like Factor 5 left dpad and analogue in the game... for Remote Play! (or they forgot to take remote play out also ;) )
