Which Harmony remote would you suggest -- the 550 or the 720?
These features are important to me:
1. Best placement of the transport buttons (we use our DVR more than anything else).
2. A glow button (having it "auto-glow" when the remote is picked up would be awesome).
3. Having as many "hard coded" DVR buttons as possible (to make it easy for my wife to use).
Thanks! :)
EDIT: Oh, one more thing -- which remote is easiest to "feel your way around" the buttons? (hopefully you'll know what I mean ;)).

...
I have tried both these remotes and liked them both. However, if money is no object, I see no compelling reason to get a 550 rather than a 720:
- The colour screen is much easier to read on the 720.
- The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is a great bonus.
- The tilt sensor is much easier to use than the "glow" button on the 550.
- The extra two soft buttons are always handy to have.
- I preferred the button layout on the 720 also.
The 550 was great, I thought. The 720 was better IMO. I would also advise buying a charger with rechargeable AAAs for the 550.

I just got back from Costco.
Picked up a 720. :)
Thanks for your help!

Hope you enjoy it! Remember: C/S is usually excellent, and they can really help you out if you have any programming issues.
don't forget that the 550 is 1/2 the street price. if you look at the deal sites the 550 can en be found as low $60 right now and the 720 is lowest usually at $130,

Thanks, but I found a few features on the 720 that I prefer over the 550. For example, just the fact that the remote glows when you pick it up is worth the extra money (for me). It's exactly what I was looking for.
