I really enjoy war films and wonder if this movie is a fairly safe blind buy. I can get it new for an excellent price but need to decide asap. All opinions welcome.:)

Also, are the German subtitles in the image or bottom black bar? I have a scope CIH setup and need to make sure the subtitles are not in the black bar.

I thought it was worth seeing. If you like war films it is very likely a good buy.

I have no particular affinity to war films and enjoyed it for a one time watch.

I honestly do not recall what the deal was with the subtitles and have since traded the title for something else.

I loved the movie.

Note it is more a legal drama than a war movie, although it is a war movie.g

decent flick though it gets quite preachy.

The movie was OK....i can't imagine ever wanting to watch it more than once. Forgettable flick, little action, OK acting...meh.

I guess I'll just rent it. Thanks guys:)

I'd say it's really not worth the buy. I absolutely love war films, but this wasn't really a war film. It's more of a boring drama, IMO. It was worth seeing once (if you don't have any better movie to watch), but forgettable after that.

Gotta confirm the rent - I did blind buy this on DVD, watched it once, that was well over a year ago... rent.
