Hi all,
I remember seeing pictures on this forum of some nice diy basement shelving that one of you did. I've spent the last hour going through my bookmarks and searching the forum to try to find the link/pictures, and have been unsuccessful.
If I remember correctly, the shelving was mdf with 2x? supports, but was finished pretty nicely - enough so that I remembered it as I am about to build some new basement shelving of my own.
Does this ring any bells with anyone? Help is much appreciated - thanks in advance.

I know the shelves you speak of because they caught my eye too.
I just have to remember who's theater the pictures were in.
Pretty sure this is it. Shelving looks very nice.

I have built very similar shelves in a couple different houses except mine are built with 2x4s and 3/4" plywood. Here's a shot of some that were built against the wall of my basement shop adjacent to my theatre room. The ones on the left are open while the ones on the right are closed up and now have doors on the front. This is a panorama shot that I stitched together...

You could put small car engines on these shelves.

I recall seeing at Home Depot some laminet covered MDF verticles that were pre-drilled for adjustable shelves that could be bolted directly to the wall. Think those cheap Ikea book shelves you can get but of much higher quality and designed to be custom installed.
My home theater project ("http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=908844) was sort of dependent on those for my storage solution. Unfortunatly it appears neither Lowes nor Home Depot sells the pre-drilled boards anymore. Does anyone know where I could purchase these? I'm certain they're still made for customer closet installations.

Not to shabby! Good for a storage room. I, personally, am looking for something more... polished.
