I'm looking at redesigning a wall in my living room. I want to mount my 58" panasonic plasma into the wall so all you see is the screen itself, none of the casing or the speakers will be showing. I was planning on using a lot of computer fans on side and top to provide a ventilation system for the TV as the TV will get insanely hot in the wall. Does anybody have any ideas or photos of something they have done simular????? I Could use all the design help i can get

I have never owned a plasma. Do you have any way to run an a/c vent to the future wall? I would rather an a/c vent over some computer fans. Also, take into consideration of any future television replacement. Good Luck

This is pretty straightforward. You can notch or create an opening in your wall (think window) where you can mount TV directly. Of course you shouldn't do this by yourself if the wall is load bearing. Typically, you will not have a problem with heat as long as you aren't leaving it on all day.

I would simply build out around the tv, like a frame instead of recessing into the wall. I wouldn't use an a/c vent if it is also used for heat! I think if you frame out you will also facilitate replacement of the tv.
