A friend of mine was over the other day and saw me log into live and asked me why I had mine set this way. We both looked in the menus and couldn't figure out how his was setup to automatically do this. Does anyone know?

IIRC,you have to click your gamertag when you press the guide button.

If you are referring to "auto signin" then yes that is already checked. When I turn on my xbox my gamertag appears and it signs me onto the console, but it doesn't log me into xbox live. I still have to enter my password to log in. Anyone know how to do this? Not a huge deal but it would be nice to not have to do this each time.

get rid of the password, and it shodul auto log in

Similar, but how do I make it log ME in instead of my wife's tag? Mine was automatic, but when she created one, it auto-logs hers instead of mine on startup of the console. It's just a mild annoyance, but annoying nonetheless.

Thanks for the info. Guess I won't do that in case someone would ever steal my box. Then they could gain access to my account...is this correct?

Every new account you create is set to auto log-in upon creation, so you have to go back and change that setting for each new account. I've had this happen a number of times. A buddy will come over, setup an account, play for a bit, and then the next day when I turn on the 360, his/her account is the one that pops up. Just click on their gamertag display (while their profile is logged-in), go into profile options (I think), and disable auto log-on.

After that if auto log-in is enabled on your account, yours will be the one to automatically load up upon startup.

Start your xbox and sign in,
highlight the gamertag and click A,
when the blade comes out it will say gamer profile with these options

Highlight Auto Sign-In and when the new blade comes out it will give you a choice to enable/disable for both Xbox Live and Messenger.
