TWC NYC MANHATTAN!?!

I have the EXPLORER 8300HDC...ONKYO 605 RECEIVER..AND MITS HD1500 PROJECTOR.

Why can I not run the hdmi from the explorer through my onkyo receiver then to my projector? I thought that was the point!

I can only bypass the receiver and that sucks!

Because the handshake between the Explorer and the projector isn't being passed through the Onkyo. This may well be a software issue with the Explorer. Why not just send the HDMI directly to the projector and then add an optical out to the Onkyo for the audio. I don't have an SA DVR but this works well with Motorola.
