Thinking about picking up the 37 inch just for my 360. This tv was build from the ground up for next gen gaming, so I'm guessing it has to be pretty good. Anybody own any of these sets??? What are your thoughts?

I'm trying to get my hands on the 32" version. One thing I did notice, the picture seemed to be suffering from some heavy red push. I would definitely spend time to calibrate it. PS. 1080p@32" is incredible. It's like a little window. formulanerd 09-04-07, 01:15 PM pretty great set, slightly better than my westinghouse, but not worth the price bump IMO, i'd much rather buy 2 of the westy's than one aquos. also, i dont think they have VGA, so you pretty much have to get an hdmi-equipped 360. Mindwarper 09-04-07, 02:40 PM My aquos 46d92u has dvi in, but I don't think it has vga in. Hdmi 360 output should be a priority. I like the PQ. Not sure about that model, but the sharps look very good. Check the lag. pnoymike 09-10-07, 03:43 AM i'm very pleased to say that for my bedroom/gaming set is a 37gp1u. i purchased this set 3months ago mainly for its gaming features because before i purchased this set, i was using my living room set(Samsung HL-R6167 DLP-tv) for gaming.. the samsung+xbox360 via VGA connection has such a great picture, not to mention i have yet to have it calibrated meaning it could have a much greater picture if tuned by an ISF professional. the gp1u factory setting does need tuning atleast in gaming mode because the colors are not set right but after decent calibrations, gaming in 1080p via component(yes, i said component cables because the gp1u supports res up to 1080P via component and HDMI) is just amazing. also, the gp1u has NO vga but has a dvi port which you can connect to a pc if needed. |
