Getting my new HDTV set this morning. Quick question on cables. I see on some sites like newegg.com that some cables are described as HDMI - HDMI 2 or 3 or even 5. What's this refer to? Most of the cables I need will be for 6-7 feet distances or so and I was just thinking of getting some of the Monoprice cables like: "28AWG - 6ft w/Ferrite Cores (Gold Plated)"

Should those serve me well for full 1080p from HD-DVD or Blu-Ray or my HD Tivo? Getting the new Sony A3000 HDTV set that runs at 120 hz.

Thanks a lot guys!

Don't know what those numbers mean probably just model numbers, correct me if I'm wrong. Even the cheapest cable will pass 1080p over 6ft so just stick to monoprice and you'll be fine.
