Hello,

I currently have a DirecTV satellite on my roof with two wires running into the house. These two wires go into a multiswitch with 4 outputs.

If I replace the satellite dish with a regular HD antenna for OTA can I just split the signal at the source (on the roof) and then get that OTA signal in all 4 locations that lead out from the multiswitch?

Thanks!

No, you can use one run from the dish location to the multi switch location then replace the multi switch with a 4 way splitter.

best check www.antennaweb.org or www.tvfool.com and make sure you can get digital TV over the air.

Thanks. I've already got an antenna in the attic, but when I start spiltting it I lose too much signal strength. I was hoping to be able to put an antenna on the roof and just use the existing cable runs/multiswitch, but it sounds like that isn't an option.

Any recommendations on a good 2, 3 or 4 way splitter that would minimize signal loss?
