How many are going to be buying the PC version of the game when it comes out later this year? I'm seriously thinking about it due to the 5 new chapters (including a rumored battle with the Brumack that was supposed to happen with the 360 version), 3 new multiplayer maps, a new online game type, and a map editor.

hmm, i consider myself a fan but not to the extent of another full price purchase. especially with Mass Effect, Halo 3, and PGR4. it'd be hard to get more games into rotation!
i'll just wait till summer 08. should be cheaper by then

I might pick it up later on just because I've never liked aiming with a controller in Gears.

Maybe sometime in 08. Too many new good games out to play through another version of Gears.

wow I didn't know all that was included ... thats a definite buy for me.

It also has PC achievements that add to your 360 gamer score.

I always felt the Burmack was meant to be more than a creature created for a cut scene.

Anyone know anything about the new chapters? Mainly interested in length. Was each segment of Gears considered a chapter? I thought that was what they were called, but if so, wouldn't this make the game twice as long as before? Seems pretty impressive if that's the case.

They are listed as "acts" in the achievement list.

There are 5 acts in the 360 version. Each act contains several chapters. When you're playing you'll sometimes see a 'title' come up when you walk into an area...that is the beginning of a new chapter

The PC version will contain 1 new act whic has 5 new chapters. Given that it is 5 chapters long I would guess that it is roughly the same length as act 4 of the 360 version.

Aww lame. I would pick this up if my PC didn't fail. I wish they would release the extra act as a download for the 360 version...

The guys at Epic said it will be coming out for OSX too, I wonder if they'll have achievements on that version.
