I'm posting here as this is regarding players of either format.
I know that we don't have THAT many HD movies yet, but I still have a lot of SD-DVDs and I like to watch several episodes of my favorite TV series on the weekends. I'm very lazy and would like to be able to switch discs for the next episode from the comfort of my chair as opposed to walking 12 feet and changing the disc. I worry that all that exercise will ruin my rotund figure. :D
I'm pretty sure they're having enough trouble getting the single disc players to work that multidisc is a ways out.
Bluray.com is reporting that Sony is introducing a 200 disc changer that also has a 500 gb hardrive for downloads. I think the msrp was $3000.00!

And it's also a BD Burner.

Gack.... I was thinking of something like a carousel or something cheaper. That thing is almost a mortgage payment.

LOL $3,000.
I guess it's cool only if it comes pre loaded with 200 movies already inside lol ;)

Actually, I think this thing is pretty cool (but there's no way the wife would let me have it). And, considering that Denon's BD is checking in at $2000 and its ES stand-alone at $1300, $3500 ain't bad (in fact, Sony has a Vaio home theater computer with a single BD player that sells for $3200).

Well you buy what you want but I would rather have a single disk player lets say for $500 and spend what I saved on movies.
I don't know about you but 200 blu-ray movies is a lot and thats a lot to invest into a format that might not even win?

Something that expensive should be dual format.

Are there even 200 BD titles available?
