We lost the remote to our small Polaroid FLM-1511 LCD TV, I have bought 2 different universal remotes now and neither has been able to "pick up" our tv and neither of the codes they provided fro that brand worked. I am about to blow, I need a remote for thei TV, can anyone help??? The remote I have now is an RCA Universal Remote RCR430S
Email is primetime6@cox.net if that is easier

Harmony remotes do not use codes, so they will almost certainly work with your equipment, thanks to a database of more than 180,000 devices from 3,500+ brands. They will also add your device if it is missing.
The cheapest models start at about $85 on amazon.com. Try the 550 for example. There are other models such as the 720 from Costco for $200, or the 880 from amazon.com for about $130. Check the range out here, but ignore MSRP: you should not have to pay anything close to that.

You can check them out at local stores too, to see which ones you like best, but the pricing will probably not be anything close to Costco and amazon.com.

That is more than we can afford to spend right now for that TV......I know, I know, you pay for what you get, but there HAS TO BE a way to do this with the remote mentioned above

We did, they seem to do what the "right" codes are suppsoed to do BUT the remote does not work, meaning the power off button does not work or the channel up/down, etc...
There does not seem to ever be any easy answer to these situations. Replacement remotes always cost nearly as much as (sometimes much more than) a Harmony, which has far greater capabilities. You may be able to find your OEM remote here:
http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&m1=FLM-1511&uid=11890877180930
You can also see what you can find here:

http://remote-control-finder.com/
Otherwise, your cheapest (and possibly your best) option that will work may be a one-for-all. You could click on the link on the right of the screen "need your codes" and see if you can find your device listed.

Most importantly perhaps: OFA also has a "Premium Learning Line" and these can be PC programmed to do just about anything using a JP-1 cable, all for under $50 (probably closer to $30). Check out the link, and if you need to more information, get in touch with Kupakai and/or The Robman who both post in these threads and seem to know everything and anything there is to know about this. The Robman may even be able to program one for you and ship it ready to use. They are not as slick as a Harmony or URC, perhaps, but they should work.

The oem remote is kind of cheaper here:

Then get a cheap learning remote, teach it the commands and put away the oem for safe keeping.
