Sorry for not searching but this problem is getting very frustrating and I would like to know if anyone ever ran into this problem and/or found a fix for it.

My problem is sometimes my SA8300 can't view Discovery HD. I'll either get an all solid gray screen or I'll get the channel to view but the pictures breaks up there's problem with the cable line.

Now I know there's no problem with the line because all other normal HD cable boxes are able to view the channel with no problems.

Another thing I noticed is that when I try to change to back and forth to DiscoveryHD the box will freeze and then reboot itself about 2 mins. This seems to only happen with DiscoveryHD and none of the other HD channels seems to effected.

Is this a known problem with this DVR box?

You really answered the question. If all HD channels except that one. Then there is either a problem with that channel at the Head end of your cable company or in your general area. Best to call the local cable company ask them if they currently have a problem with the channel. Then depending on that as to which ways to go. I used to work in cable before. I've seen a large number of reasons why. If you have a neighbor that has an HD box ask them if they have a problem or call the cable company. Good luck.
