When i play back HD VC1 WMVs off DVD-Rs the machine plays them just fine, but if I try to stop, rewind, FF, etc. the machine locks. It will play all the way through every time, but interfere and the above occurs.

HD-DVDs and games are fine. Is this a software issue or what?

I always have trouble attempting to fast forwarding and rewinding streamed stuff, have never run anything off DVDR. I think it may just be the software.

i just checked mine with a dvd wmv disk and i was able to fastforward but skipping made the elite chug and say it was unplayable content, i had to take the disk out for it to work again. but i usually only have that problem with streaming files (sometimes)

I have the same problems with my premium. It's not just with elites. :(
