Spending $350 for a set of bike tyres so that they can last 12laps for a $3 plastic trophy ranks much higher on money wasted list....

Never, motorcycle rubber is well worth the price!

I was playing Gears last night and had a good laugh with some guys when we were discussing what people will be doing with the helmet. We could not stop laughing thinking about the 'guys' (with the typical 'persona') sitting with the Xbox controller in their hands and wearing the helmet when they play. Chick magnet for sure!

I was thinking about snagging it to sell. What all does the Legendary disc have on it that the Deluxe and Basic do not have?

Some storyboard art, Halo and Halo 2 cutscenes remastered in HD, and exclusive content from Red vs. Blue and This Spartan Life.

I stopped a couple of years ago. Amazing what it did for my bank account :) Started off on Pirelli's also. SC1front/SC2 combo. Then the following year I went to a R6 and got on Dunlops mainly because it was easy to get setup numbers for a R6 on Dunlops than on Pirelli's.

I raced with the AFM up north. Did a couple of local CCS events. That part (CCS) was interesting to say the least :)

If you're into collectables, and you want to pay extra for it, it actually looks pretty solid. The helmet construction looks good, the game holder and stand appears to have good attention to detail.

Not sure why the huge negative reaction - if you don't want it, don't buy it.

I've seen people who collect toys (as in Star Wars figures, or Spawn toys, or whatever). Not my thing, but hey, if they enjoy it, go for it. It sure doesn't spell "40 year old virgin" anymore, and if you have a hobby and the revenue to support it, all the power to you.

I'll be getting the standard version, but it's nice to see that there are different versions for those who really love Halo.

So for $120 you get the Halo game with a helmet and some art and videos that will be all over the internet within a week of the games release?

Personally I would rather spend that money and get Halo 3 plus another game.

The Helmet is cool n' all but I really want the cut scenes redone. Hopefully they're put together in a movie format. That'd be quite cool! Had the cut scenes been included in the Limited edition that'd be the one for me.

It be cool if the helmet was least wearable size so I'd have something to wear on Halloween.

I guess that you're all correct, it isn't a "piece of junk" like I said earlier. If you're into collectibles, and a huge Halo fanboy, then it is quite a nice piece. There is no way that I can justify the price though. Nothing about that says "I'm worth 70 bucks".

I don't race but I do track days. I'm in a local club that's got alot of WERA guys here in the Southeast. Buddy of mine bought a used '07 R1 for $6500 a few days ago (ridiculous price). Started out at $8900 but found lil' things that needed fixin'...seller voluntarily took money off.

That's a steal for $6,500. Seriously the best deal I've seen on a bike in ages.

He's got a graves full Ti on the way and a power commander, ss lines, etc. And I'm sure track plastics. He says it's odd after riding on a Duc 998 for so long, the power band is tough to get used to :P

Yes, but something on a Master Replicas level.

I actually bought two of those Cortana figures, and it brings me back to the greatness of the first HALO...too bad H2 destroyed the series.

Really it did? Wow somebody should tell the hordes of rabid Halo fans (myself included) that all the fun they had with Halo 2 was really destroying the series (and who knew 2 games constituted a series) and that we should all cancel our millions of pre-orders.

Ya know after re-examining things I decided to change my pre-order from the Legendary to the Limited Edition. For one the Limited Edition comes in a sleek metal fold-out case, it comes with what as far as I'm concerned is the more important of the two Legendary bonus discs (the one with the TV calibration tool on it), and instead of having the artwork on a second disc you get an actual physical book of artwork which seems much more appealing to me. All this for $60 less it just seemed like a no brainer, I didn't really wanna pay more money for a toy helmet and a third disc with content that will be online within a week of it's release (hell you'll probably be able to snag that second disc on eBay for $30 or less down the road on eBay) plus missing out on getting a cool case (I like metal game cases) and having the artwork on a disc instead of a sweet book of art. And now I can put that $60 towards a Wii, PS3, PSP, or Bioshock =)
